As Chief Data Officer for the City of Philadelphia, Wisniewski and his team helped departments release over 200 open data sets and increase transparency around city contracts , property taxes , police interactions , and the city budget . In 2016, Wisniewski’s role expanded to build the new Office of Open Data & Digital Transformation , a team of design, development, and content professionals inside government. In this capacity Wisniewski oversaw the launch of the new phila.gov , an entirely reimagined digital front door for city government designed to make services easier to find and use.
