So, I think I will dust off the blog! (not sure if that is a good or a bad thing, it is just a thing) I went back to a race that I have’t raced at in 7 years! It is a season opener of a race out in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert/La Quinta area. It is a bit of a shag of a drive for us but it is usually a pretty fun race. I have put in a lot of training since September and I was excited to see how that would translate to a race. We got to the race at 5:30 AM on race day because we couldn’t get out early enough the day before to check in. Once I had everything labeled and set up was able to take a brief practice swim.
