Jim Altieri - musician and programmer My name is Jim Altieri and I make my living as a computer programmer, musician, and maker. My work combines elements of music, science, technology, and education and is influenced by the American tradition of experimental artists, inventors, and thinkers. I build art installations using real-time geophysical data streams, engineer and produce new music by composers and singer/songwriters, write software for artists, musicians and small companies, and play violin and accordion in a variety of bands.
