Şöyle geriye dönüp çocukluğuma baktığımda, kendimi babamın Büyük Dünya Atlası'nın sayfalarında parmağımla kıtalar, denizler ve ülkeler arasında dolaşırken hatırlıyorum. Zannedersem o yaştan beri beni en heyecanlandıran olgu, gideceğim yer değil de yürüyeceğim yol oldu. Yol boyu yutulan toz, yoldaşlar, ciğere çekilen kokular ve kimi zaman da yaşanan eziyet gidilecek yeri anlamlı kıldı.
