PSL - Skye's The Limit PSL - Skye's The Limit Pages Blog Saturday 28 August 2021 Nordic Trails Day four of our botanical mini-blitz of central Scotland saw The Ghost and myself back up a mountain top (yay - gotta love a mountain top!) Our target area for today was The Cairnwell , or at least the slopes of it. I've been here once before, fifteen years back on a birding trip with three mates. Back then we'd 'scoped some very distant Ptarmigan from the roadside, then climbed quite a way up for closer views. Today I was here for a truly mouth-watering selection of arctic-alpine plants. Not quite as gobsmackingly awesome an array as Ben Lawers offered us a few days back, but pretty damn good all the same.
