Really, it’s been a quiet summer for my husband and I. But, we did get out earlier this week to explore Rufus Morgan Falls and Wayah Bald near Franklin, NC. We started out at Rufus Morgan Falls. After a slow and dusty drive down 2 miles of dirt road, we arrived at the small parking area for the 1 mile loop hike to the falls. There was only one other car there, and it looked like it might belong to someone maintaining the trail.
