We Heart YA home about us review policy Monday, February 7, 2022 Our Favorite Reads of 2021 One of our favorite things to do every year is to share a round-up of the books that we loved most. Due to the pandemic, we accidentally skipped 2020, but now we're back! Here are the stories -- mostly YA, but some adult and Middle Grade too -- that captured our hearts and minds in 2021: Sarah   Fave: THE TEN THOUSAND DOORS OF JANUARY by Alix E Harrow Honourable Mentions: CURSES by Lish McBride , VESPERTINE by Margaret Rogerson , FRESH by Margot Wood , HOLD BACK THE TIDE by Melinda Salisbury Stephanie Gilded by Marissa Meyer -- This book was perfection. I loved the rich world building and lyrical writing. The villain was haunting and legitimately scary, and the love interest is my favorite I've read in years.
