Când eram copil, aveam ritualul de a cere să ascult câte o poveste în fiecare seară, dar nu pentru că m-aș fi dat în vânt după ele, ci pentru că așa văzusem eu la oamenii mari că obișnuiau să repete anumite activități. Aveam să aflu mai târziu că se numeau tabieturi și că nu era tocmai ceva de bine pentru că reprezentau un semn de bătrânețe (motiv pentru care astăzi le evit cu desăvârșire). Când s-a produs însă declicul? Păi… într-o seară am văzut-o pe mama cum își îmbrăca delicat mâinile într-o soluție albă și parfumată, dar n-am îndrăznit s-o întreb ce era. Apoi a doua seară am văzut aceeași imagine și nu mi-am mai putut...
