Suatu pembaharuan mulai Februari 2012, Malaysia Airlines (MH) secara berperingkat telah menggunakan pesawat siri baru B737-800 untuk sektor KUL-KBR-KUL. Bagi sesi pengenalan, mulai awal Februari yang lalu penerbangan dengan pesawat B737-800 adalah hanya setiap pagi Sabtu penerbangan MH1384 (KUL-KBR 07.50AM-08.45AM) dan MH1385 (KBR-KUL 09.15AM-10.15AM). Manakala mulai Mac 2012, kekerapan penerbangan dengan pesawat B737-800 ditambah bagi jadual setiap hari Rabu, Khamis, Jumaat selain Sabtu. Penerbangan pesawat siri B737-800 ini adalah sebagai langkah polisi penukaran pesawat secara berperingkat bagi laluan domestik bagi menggantikan pesawat lama sedia ada siri B737-400.
