My thirteen year old son discovered this site while we were on vacation, staying in a lovely Maui Hawaii rental on the western coast of the island. He loves to surf, having taken up the sport when we moved out to California from Colorado several years ago. While I prefer snorkeling, my son the surfer was always begging me to take him to some of the better Maui surfing beaches. Anyone who snorkels knows that big waves for surfing are not friendly for snorkeling. So during our Maui vacation we would check where the best surfing was on the western coast and I would drive him from our rental to the beach and hang out while he surfed for several hours.
