Closed Stacks Closed Stacks About disclosures Disclosures I Can’t, Anymore 22Aug13 Everyone in the world knows it’s hard out there for a librarian, especially one with no practical experience.  Jobs are hard to come by for the most qualified applicants, and despite my four years of varied library employment and internship experiences coming out of grad school, it still took me three years to reach the brass ring of full-time employment.  But I knew it wouldn’t be easy, and I knew I’d have to hustle. These days, I feel like the ‘woe is me, I can’t get a library job’ spleen is just tired.  If you haven’t been able to find a job, you need to figure out why.  You need to examine what you’ve been doing, and change it.  Clearly, the plan is not working, and it’s time for reassessment.
