Because our family loves dogs and we own a mixed breed with some husky in her, a dog sled ride was high on our bucket list. Our visit in March provided the perfect opportunity to experience real Alaska dog sledding. We didn’t know until after we scheduled our trip, that it would also coincide with the start of the Iditarod.
