I may have spoken too soon. Last Wednesday was probably the scariest day of your father’s and my life. I will tell you all of the fun details when you’re older, but I will tell you that I spent 12 hours in the hospital with a surprise surgery in the midst of it all. The only thing that gave me comfort throughout it all was I could hear your strong heartbeat on the monitor along with you moving back and forth across my stomach. It was like you were doing flips.
