The Jeppson's skip to main | skip to sidebar Saturday, May 23, 2009 Hiking the Red Buttes What a beautiful evening! ~The kids were happy, the weather was mild, the flowers were in bloom, and we got to spend some time as a whole family. I really have to cherish these moments, they don't come as often as I'd like. Today, we went up to the Red Butte Gardens, (never actually been inside the gardens, but they have a great trail system above them). Dogs are even allowed OFF leash. Hunter discovered the joy of trail running, downhill of course. You'll see in the pics how he and Peyton made it up a lot of the hills. But I think this kid has a real future in this. He was like a natural Mt. Goat. He did however, have one good spill. Here he is with the sad face, and battle wounds. I guess if Hunter is the Mt. Goat, that would make Theron the pack mule. Yes, he did carry BOTH of the kids up the Mountain. They hiked, probably 3 of the 4 miles- but dad was nice and carried ...
