To his right Captain Sharpe heads a detachment of the 95th making for the vineyard of La Maison Verde with the green shutters. The French voltigeurs were indeed still in their tents and were rudely awakened by their sentry post loosing off a few pot shots at the advancing Brits. The officers had kipped in the comfort of La Granja Amarillo and rushed out as their troops readied the weapons.
