Αλέκα Παπαρήγα αρνήθηκε κατηγορηματικά και μετά βδελυγμίας οποιονδήποτε έλεγχο στα οικονομικά του κόμματος. Αν και μπορούμε να γράφουμε ολόκληρες εβδομάδες περί της εν λόγω πράξης, ας κάνουμε κάτι άλλο. Ας επιχειρήσουμε έναν άλλο έλεγχο. Ας πούμε… έναν έλεγχο ιδεολογικό, ίσως πατριωτικό. Βέβαια, θα αναρωτηθεί κάποιος, τι σημαίνει η λέξη «πατριωτικός», ή η λέξη «πατρίδα». Επειδή, πολύ συχνά, σε έναν διάλογο τυχαίνει οι λέξεις να μην έχουν την ίδια σημασία για όλους τους μετέχοντες, πρώτα θα ρωτήσω εγώ εσένα τι σημαίνουν αυτά που γράφει ο Ριζοσπάστης και εν συνεχεία, αφού λάβω απάντηση, θα σου απαντήσω τι σημαίνει για μένα πατρίδα.
