Multi-Cultural Research at the Open University by Adrian Petch Open University Research by Adrian Petch The Open University in the UK is a brilliantly successful educational venture. It allows thousands of people, particularly those who for one reason or another were deprived of the chance of secondary education, to acquire it in later years. In my own case, with a science degree from Oxford University and a lifetime of intense reading of history and literature, it gave me the opportunity to do some serious research on a number of "Arts" subjects over a period of some nine years. Among the results of this were a number of papers on a wide variety of multi-cultural subjects, some of which are now presented at this Website. (Actually it is also something of an ego-trip.....).
