Another popular theory is the collapse of an underground cavern—a doline—created the lake. Other theories range from ice-age glacial movement to meteorites. Regardless, this small body of water is a gem. Oak Lake is spring-fed. The water is clean and clear—perfect for swimming and fishing. An ideal size to navigate by paddleboat, canoe, or kayak.
