Semper Callistemon laevis ( Καλλιστήμονας)  Αειθαλής θάμνος, ή μικρό δένδρο ύψους έως 4m και διαμέτρου 2-4m, με πράσινα φύλλα. Είναι γνωστό για τα εντυπωσιακά, μεγάλα, κόκκινα άνθη του, με τους χαρακτηριστικά μεγάλους στήμονες, που μοιάζουν με ''μπουκαλόβουρτσες''. Ευδοκιμεί σε ηλιόλουστες θέσεις με μετρίως υγρά εδάφη, απαιτεί όμως προστασία από τους πολύ δυνατούς παγετούς. Είναι ανεκτικό στο κλάδεμα και στην ξηρασία, και είναι κατάλληλο και για παραθαλάσσιες φυτεύσεις. Φυτεύεται σε ομάδες.
