Having completed the first draft of my second urban fantasy at the end of June, I was ready for family fun and to catch up on reading. All eight of us packed up and took a ferry over to spectacular Vancouver Island. We then drove to Parksville and stayed in two cottages near the gorgeous Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park. It was Abby and Ellie’s first ferry ride and they loved it. It was also the girls’ first time at the beach and they loved that as well.
