Despre angajații Stasi din fosta Germanie de Est (cea “democrată” – o glumă sinistră, dealtfel) se spunea că sunt chiar mai lipsiți de suflet decât cei din KGB-ul sovietic, fiind antrenați sistematic să devină cât mai inumani. Stasi Într-o poveste fictivă, dar inspirată din realitatea trăită de populația Germaniei de Est după ridicarea Zidului Berlinului, un bunic englez de origine nobiliară, împreună cu nepotul său anglo-american, iau avionul de la Londra spre Berlin într-o zi a anului 1968, pentru a participa la înmormântarea surorii bunicului. După sosirea pe aeroportul berlinez sunt nevoiți să treacă granița spre Est, întrucât acolo avea loc înmormântarea. Sora bătrânului conte fuses...
