Există locuri unde ai impresia că fiecare piatră din caldarâm ascunde o istorioară, iar tu nu te poți abține să te închipui călcând pe urmele pașilor celor care au trecut cu mult timp înaintea ta pe acolo. Legendele desigur nu lipsesc. Chiar dacă sunt simple improvizații care deformează adevărul sau umplu golurile ori, dimpotrivă, sunt rupte din realitate, întregesc, alături de arhitectură, peisagistică și asocierile istorice, acel bine cunoscut „parfum” al străzilor.
