A squirrel came in from the cold over the weekend. It created some havoc in the faculty office next to mine — the studio used by adjunct piano faculty. The squirrel was found cowering deep inside the grand piano. M. Squirrel was humanely removed. Environmental clean-up began Tuesday, removed ceiling tile stained with squirrel pee, removing squirrel droppings (do we call them droppings or just poop?) from the piano and elsewhere, and so forth. M. Squirrel did not like the cold any more than I. (And the squirrel may be Mme. Squirrel. I didn’t check. But I named it Vladimir after M. Horowitz.)
