I’ve had countless experiences living as an expat in Ecuador, many that I’ve chronicled on Facebook, in snippets here and there. Yet my blog has lain dormant. This story, though, deserves a post. This past Friday, my husband, daughter and I needed to get from a town on the Ecuadorian coast to an Ecuadorian city, where our daughter needed to catch a flight that evening, to start her journey home, back to Minnesota. (She’d been with us for a week of ‘seeing where mom lives’ and for fun on the beach. Every moment of her sweet face in my presence and in my new home was delightful!
