Justus Thies Justus Thies Professor at the Technical University Darmstadt Hi! I'm a full professor at TU Darmstadt for '3D Graphics & Vision', and an independent research group leader of the group 'Neural Capture & Synthesis' at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen. My group works at the intersection of computer graphics, computer vision and machine learning. Specifically, I am interested in marker-less motion capturing of facial performances, human bodies as well as general non-rigid objects. Besides capturing and reconstructing reality, I work on AI-based synthesis techniques that allow for photorealistic image and video synthesis.
