That’s nearly half my life ago but alas, it is the best place I can think to start. I was nine when my world came tumbling down for the very first time. Up until the June of 2009, I hadn’t ever realized how drastically death can change your life. There wasn’t anything for me to compare the broken wretchedness of the heart to. When I lost my grandmother, it was the first time I felt truly lost. Since then, I have felt myself swirling in that pool of uncertainty more times than I’d like. This is not, however, a story of pain and sorrow. Yes, I will admit that I have felt both of these more strongly than perhaps others have.
