may's corner may's corner Tuesday, 21 August 2012 Nasi Lemak with Sambal and Ayam Goreng Berempah Nasi Lemak is always our favourite food, especially the sambal and ayam goreng berempah. I have tried different version of sambal and ayam goreng and this is the best sambal and ayam goreng berempah. it tasted just like the malay restaurant style. Worth trying and I will definitely cook again but need lots of patience to slow cook the sambal. Sambal : Blend garlic, onion, ginger, dried chillies, ikan bilis to paste and cook in slow flame until the paste turned into dark colour and thickening. If the colour is still red and watery, the sambal is not ready. Ayam Goreng Berempah : Blend onion, garlic, ginger, serai (lemon grass) into paste, add to chicken with some curry powder, salt, kunyit powder.
