A year today I had half my thyroid removed due to a lump. They found cancer, so they removed the second half 3 weeks later. The second half was cancer-free so technically it's my Cancerversary today. Sept 19. Life is amazing! Sometimes you gotta see the good in the bad. I'm happy to have a pretty decent life. My sister died at 40, which is the same age I was diagnosed with cancer. I'm ahead of her by a year now, so I'm very grateful. I've had a few bumps along the way, but none that I'm ready to complain about. So to all that have had a cancerversary, congratulations!
