Good for reducing your heating bill, that’s why I got them in 2023. But why is there condensation on the outside in the morning? During the night insulated glass becomes a black body radiator making it a cold surface. The outer glass is an effective radiator because mostly the outer glass is radiating infrared, the insulated gas barrier between the windows prevents that more heat is radiating from the inside to the outside, so the outer glass rapidly cools off. Water vapor on the outside air is warmer, clouds and water vapor trap heat, and the result is that water vapor condenses on the cold surface.
