Είμαι σε μια πόλη που δεν έχει πατζούρια,  γιατί ο ήλιος βγαίνει σπάνια και οι άνθρωποι τον έχουν ανάγκη. Και σκέφτομαι μήπως εμείς έχουμε παρασυνηθίσει στον ήλιο και στο φως και δεν του δίνουμε την αξία που του πρέπει. Χθες στο αεροπλάνο κάθησα δίπλα σε ένα αγόρι γλυκύτατο με κάτι τεράστια γαλάζια μάτια. Μέχρι να απογειωθεί έστελνε συνέχεια μηνύματα στο κινητό του στα αραβικά. Κρυφοκοίταξα ναι. Έγραφε έγραφε ασταμάτητα μέχρι που αναγκάστηκε να το κλείσει. Μετά για πολλή ώρα κοίταζε φωτογραφίες που ήταν αυτός και μια ξανθιά κοπέλα και έτρεχαν κάτι δάκρυα σαν κορομηλα από τα μάτια του. Κρυφοκοιταζα ναι. Κράταγε στο χέρι το κινητό, το πορτοφόλι και ένα κουτί με γκοφρέτες. Όταν το άνοιξε για να φάει πρώτα έδωσε σε μένα, μετά στο διπλανό μου και μετά έφαγε εκείνος....
