The organising committee for TRAC 2023 is delighted to invite you to the annual Theoretical Roman Archaeology Conference to be held at Exeter between 27-29 th April 2023. Decorative tiles called ‘antefixes’ were used on the roof of the Roman legionary bathhouse in Exeter. Some, like this one from the collection of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (Exeter), showed images of human faces. Others were decorated with dolphins.
