It was toward the end of July when there was a knock upon my door. It was S., one of Management’s building maintenance staff. It was an emergency. My downstairs neighbor’s bathroom was being leaked upon. I don’t know what S. expected to see, but when he rushed to the bathroom to see, there was nothing to see. Things were very dry. It took several days to properly diagnose, but it turned out that while the plumbing had been upgraded possibly less than a decade ago, the bath tub faucets were much closer to original equipment. They leaked when open, within the tub obviously but rather less obviously within the wall as well.
