O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) oficializou, nesta sexta-feira, a nomeação de Celso Sabino (União-PA) como ministro do Turismo. Sabino foi convidado por Lula nesta quinta-feira para ocupar o cargo no lugar de Daniela Carneiro e atender a um pedido do União Brasil. A nomeação foi publicada nesta tarde em edição extra do Diário Oficial da União. Na quarta-feira, o senador Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) reuniu-se com Lula no Planalto e assegurou o consenso em torno do nome parlamentar. O Centrão tem pressionado para ampliar seu espaço no primeiro escalão do governo em troca de aumentar a base de apoio ao Palácio do Planalto no Congresso. Em frentes abertas de negociação, o partido também tem intenção de assumir os Correios e deve ser contemplado na escolha da chefia da Funasa, juntamente com outras siglas do Centrão.
