En el marco del Plan de Promoción de Colombia en el Exterior que coordina el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y gracias a las gestiones de la Embajada de Colombia en Estados Unidos, el 7 de enero, a las 6:00 p.m., en el Millennium Stage del John F. Kennedy Center, se presentó el grupo musical Puerto Candelaria. El evento, al que asistieron más de 700 personas, contó con la presencia del Embajador de Colombia en EE UU, Luis Carlos Villegas. La gira de Puerto Candelaria continuará en Nueva York, donde se presentarán el 10 de Enero en The Regent Parlor en el New York Hilton Midtown, el 11 en el Global Fest en el Alex Webster Hall, el 12 en Le Poisson Rouge, y en Miami, donde se presentarán el 15 de enero en el Open Stage. Sobre Puerto Candelaria Puerto Candelaria es un grupo musical dirigido y fundado por Juancho Valencia en el 2000 en Medellín.
