   에이펀 인터렉티브(이하 에이펀)은 8월 11일 유투브에 자사의 ‘AMG VR PROJECT’ 티저 영상을 공개했다.AMG VR PROJECT’는 ‘메르세데스 벤츠 C63 AMG’의 모습을 실시간 VR로 구현한 프로젝트다.영상은 티져 영상으로 실제 VR 구동영상이 아닌 언리얼 엔진4로 구현된 ‘메르세데스 벤츠 C63 AMG’ 외관을 다뤘다. 실제 오큘러스를 통해 구동 시에는 키보드와 마우스를 이용해서 차량의 문을 열고 닫는 등의 인터렉티브 콘텐츠가 구현된다.오큘러스를 통해 ‘AMG VR PROJECT’를 구동하면 실제 차량으로 할 수 있는 대부분의 체험이 가능하다. 차량의 문을 열고 내부를 확인 할 수 있음은 물론이며, 차량의 엔진도 실제모습 그대로 구현되어 있다. 차량의 색을 마음대로 변경할 수도 있고, 도로 위를 달리는 경험도 가능하다.무엇보다 눈길을 끄는 것은 언리얼 엔진4로 구현된 ‘메르세데스 벤츠 C63 AMG’의 실사 같은 퀄리티다. 외관은 물론이며, 내부의 가죽 시트 질감마저도 느껴질 정도다.에이펀의 ‘AMG VR PROJECT’는 오큘러스를 통해서 90fps에 11ms 레이턴시로 구동된다. 기기가 가진 성능의 한계 일뿐 더 높은 수준의 구동이 가능하다는 것이 에이펀의 입장이다. 모바일을 통한 구현도 어려움은 없지만 애써 퀄리티를 낮추고 싶지는 않았다고 얘기한다.에이펀의 권도균 대표는 영상을 공개한 이유를 자사의 실력을 공개하려는 의도였다고 얘기한다. 실제로 에이펀은 ‘AMG VR PROJECT’ 뿐만 아니라 VR로 구현된 다양한 데모 영상을 제작해 왔다.권 대표는 “오큘러스의 최저 사양에서 뽑아낼 수 있는 최상의 퀄리티를 만드는데 중점을 뒀다” 며, “다양한 분야에서 세계 어디에도 뒤쳐지지 않는 퀄리티를 만들어 내도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.에이펀의 ‘AMG VR PROJECT’와 다양한 데모 영상은 공식 홈페이지(http://afun-interactive.com/)에서 확인 할 수 있다. [기사링크]
