Mit der Verpflichtung von Jan Gyamerah erhält die Abwehr der SV Elversberg weitere Verstärkung. Der 30-jährige Außenverteidiger wechselt innerhalb der 2. Bundesliga vom 1. FC Kaiserslautern nach Elversberg und unterzeichnet an der Kaiserlinde einen Zweijahresvertrag bis Sommer 2027.Gyamerah bringt dabei eine Erfahrung von zahlreichen DFB-Pokal-Einsätzen und exakt 200 Zweitliga-Partien mit ins Saarland. Ausgebildet wurde der gebürtige Berliner überwiegend bei Arminia Bielefeld und beim VfL Bochum, wo er auch zu seinen ersten Profi-Spielen kam. Für Bochum stand Jan Gyamerah bis 2019 in 74 Partien in der 2. Bundesliga auf dem Platz, anschließend führte ihn sein Weg zunächst zum Hamburger SV (50 Zweitliga-Spiele) und 2022 zum 1. FC Nürnberg (53 Zweitliga-Spiele). Beim HSV und beim FCN übernahm er immer wieder Verantwortung – beim Club sogar zeitweise als Kapitän. In der abgelaufenen Saison, in der er beim 1.
