CCF cadets from Alleyn's School were the first ever to join the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in Whitehall this year.The cadets lined the Sovereign's Steps to greet the Royal Family and VIPs attending the service.The National Service of Remembrance, held at The Cenotaph in London on Remembrance Sunday, has never before had a CCF contingent present.The eight Alleyn's CCF cadets – Oscar, Anna, Charu, Zoe, Xavi, Harry, Tristan and Edward – were very proud to have made history by being the first group to attend the service.The cadets, accompanied by Major Benest and Sergeant McDonough, also had the opportunity to speak to members of the Royal Family.As Officer Commanding the Sovereign's Step Party, Major Benest had the honour of personally saluting each Royal as they arrived.Anna said it was "a historic moment which will stay with me all my life".
