Posted Friday, 24 April 2020 by Jon Harris Dr Vishna Rasiah, a well-respected and much-loved colleague at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s, sadly passed away on Thursday 23 April following treatment for COVID-19. Dr Rasiah, known to all his friends as Vish, was a Consultant Neonatologist at our Women’s Hospital and was highly-regarded across the Midlands as part of his role as Clinical Lead for the regional Neonatal network. Sarah-Jane Marsh, Chief Executive, said: “Vish was an amazing doctor, leader, colleague and friend passionate about the care of babies and their families. Losing him in such a cruel and unfair way will be too much to bear for many of us, in particular anyone involved in neonatal care, and of course his beautiful wife and daughter. “As our tears flow, we must always remember the values that Vish stood for, and hold his vision, courage and compassion in our hearts.
