Resumen El trabajo analiza una experiencia innovadora de desarrollo de hardware “libre” en Argentina que se caracteriza por articular diferentes actores tanto públicos como privados. El proyecto de Computadora Industrial Abierta Argentina (CIAA) se trata de una plataforma electrónica que ya se está utilizando para aplicaciones en la industria agrícola, equipamiento médico, de localización y georeferencia, dispositivos de seguridad y transporte ferroviario, entre otros y cuenta con unaversión educativa creada con el propósito de convertirla en una herramienta de enseñanza en todas las facultades de ingeniería del país.
