Brussel, 27 februari 2018 – Het farmaceutisch bedrijf Pfizer ontving vanavond de Lifetime Achievement Trophy 2018 van het Vlaams agentschap Flanders Investment & Trade. De trofee wordt jaarlijks uitgereikt aan een buitenlands bedrijf dat een uitzonderlijke bijdrage levert aan de Vlaamse economie en welvaart, onder meer via investeringen. Pfizer is sinds 1952 actief in België – en sinds 1956 in Vlaanderen – en vierde vorig jaar nog zijn 65e verjaardag. Met zijn vier internationaal erkende sites behoort Pfizer in België tot de wereldtop. Andere gerenommeerde bedrijven als BASF en Volvo Cars wonnen eerder al de trofee.Meer dan 500 miljoen geïnvesteerd en 1000 nieuwe arbeidsplaatsen Pfizer tekende voor een ambitieus investeringstraject de laatste jaren in de productie- en verpakkingssite in Puurs.
