Question : Quel souvenir gardez-vous de votre passage à l’ENSCM ?
 Réponse : J’ai commencé fort : redoublement dès la première année. Mes notes étaient moyennes (soyons modeste), mais j’avais aussi lancé un journal étudiant un peu impertinent… Dans un numéro, on trouve d’ailleurs une BD où figure Pascal Dumy. Je me suis engagé à ne jamais la montrer aux élèves.
 À l’époque, la promo juste avant moi inaugurait Erasmus. Moi, je visais les États-Unis. Le directeur, M. Geneste, m’a donné son feu vert - je le remercie encore.
 Comme je suis un garçon chanceux, j’ai été pris à Columbia, en MS de Chemical Engineering. Non seulement j’ai été un excellent élève, mais surtout j’ai découvert deux technologies qui ont transformé ma vie professionnelle : l’internet et l’Intelligence Artificielle (on est en 1990).
