Summary:CDC published a MMWR paper in July 2021 claiming that the risk-benefit calculation for mRNA vaccine was favorable for vaccinating all age cohortsBy its own calculation, the 30 million first doses plus 22 million second doses administered by 11 June 2021 prevented only 6 deaths per million doses in men aged 12-29The paper compared this with the number of myocarditis reports in VAERS till that date, which amounted to 39-47 cases per millionBut the paper did not mention that there were already over 50 deaths reported in VAERS for that same age cohort in that same time period. And 70% of these deaths had symptom onset within 7 days of vaccination.On top of that, this deaths number is only a lower bound, becauseit did not count deaths which may have happened after a VAERS report was filed (CDC did not automatically followup even on severe cases)incomplete coding in the VAERS CSV files meant some reports were not selected by my SQL query even if it was for the correct cohortIn July 2...
