Kunjungan turis beranjak normal. Aktifitas wisata air dan alam yang menjadi sajian utama, masih menarik untuk dikunjungi. Jika sedang berada di Sumatera Utara (Sumut), sempatkanlah datang ke Bukit Lawang. Jaraknya sekitar 96 kilometer barat laut Medan, ibukota Sumut. Angkutan model bus hingga travel berangkat hampir setiap waktu dari Terminal Terpadu Pinang Baris. Selama perjalanan sekitar dua jam, akan terlihat perkebunan kelapa sawit, serta beberapa sungai yang menjadi sumber kehidupan warga sekitar. Lantas, sehabis melewati perkebunan karet, maka panorama Bukit Lawang yang menakjubkan terhampar luas. Sejak dulu, tempat ini dikenal turis mancanegara sebagai objek wisata alam hutan tropis.
