This had been planned well before last week’s disturbances – and fortunately, despite some rumblings on social media, Bigtown has not seen any anti-immigration protests, let alone any riots (a protest was apparently being organised but those behind it have postponed it for now until they can steward it properly and hopefully everything will have calmed down a bit by the time it actually happens). However we did think it might be politic to not bring a bunch of young men of various ethnicities on bikes through Notso Bigtown on a Friday afternoon – if only because of the bike part of the equation, Notso Bigtown having just seen off plans...
