Instead of the rabbi giving a sermon on the week’s parashah, she takes on a deeper dive into its meaning and language, and encourages participation and thoughts to be shared by the congregation. It is always illuminating. I wasn’t going to share thoughts on this week’s parashah because I knew it would have a political slant, and I had already gone down that road last week. However, the political is personal and the beit midrash  of this morning just resonated too much with me to resist the urge to put my fingers to the keyboard. ...
